Creative Colours - The Beginning

1968

Introduction of new trademark. The M stands for the brand name, the circle and the sqaure for drawing instruments and the red dot for colours.

1959

In their 100th anniversary year Marabu introduces the flexible mounting glue "Fixogum" - an innovation, which becomes a classic.

1952

First Marabu Screen Printing Ink “Marapid A.

1939

Marabu produces the first paintbox. With this Marabu lays the foundations for an educational product range for schools.

1920/21

Introduction graphical colours „Plakattempera“, the first specially developed paint for designers and graphic artists. Poster paints become an important part of the business.

1920

Eberhard and Dr. Eduard Martz found Marabuwerke GmbH in Tamm on 10th June 1920.

1909

Registration of trademark „Marabu.

1870

Start of production: Watercolours. The first geometry instruments build the foundations for technical drawing.

1859

Albert Martz opens his painting and art materials business in Stuttgart.
